Nascentric Joins Si2

Nascentric, the developer of AuSIM, a next generation in SPICE-accurate, high-performance Fast-SPICE simulation technology, is joining the Silicon Integration Initiative, Inc. (Si2) and Si2's OpenAccess program. Si2 is a leading EDA standards consortium.

AuSIM is Nascentric's transistor-level simulator, the first in a series of advanced full-chip simulation and analysis products with the speed, accuracy, and capacity needed to make dynamic, full-chip simulation of nanometer effects possible. AuSIM enables design teams to analyze larger and more complex circuits up to ten times faster that previously possible.

The goal of the Si2 consortium is to achieve industry adoption of collaborative technologies and services that deliver higher levels of silicon design integration, enabling compelling advantages for its members through reduced costs, faster time to market, and improved IC design capability. OpenAccess is a community effort to provide true interoperability, not just data exchange, among IC design tools through an open standard data API and reference database supporting that API for IC design. The OpenAccess Coalition is a neutral organization of industry leaders that are leading this effort operating under Si2 bylaws.
