Nascentric opens Silicon Valley office

Nascentric Inc., which develops and markets software to analyze integrated circuit designs, has opened a research and development center and Western region field office in San Jose.
Nascentric began operations in Austin, Texas, in May 2004, and with the addition of the company's new Silicon Valley office, it says it will be able to speed up the process of delivering transistor-level simulation and analysis to semiconductor design companies there.
The new office is staffed by a team of software engineers and field operations personnel. Nascentric plans to continue growing development resources at the new location to meet its goals in the delivery of several new products.
"Given the level of interest in our products, we need to augment the Austin development activities with experienced and talented people," says Ramon Acosta, vice president of engineering for Nascentric. "Silicon Valley possesses a wealth of software and electrical engineering talent we plan to tap."
In addition to housing the development center, the new office will also act as the Western regional headquarters for Nascentric field operations.
"Silicon Valley is the heart of the U.S. semiconductor industry and home to many of our key customers," says Dennis George, director of marketing for the company.
