Bill Wood

Bill Wood has been a venture investor in the semiconductor industry for the past twenty years. He now invests personally in early stage companies through Silverton Partners, a private partnership. Prior to founding Silverton Partners, he was a founding general partner of Austin Ventures.

In addition to Nascentric, Mr. Wood's other early stage semiconductor investments including Benchmarq Microelectronics, Chicory Systems, Crystal Semiconductor, Silicon Labs, and Silicon Metrics, all of which became public companies either through a public offering or acquisition.



Krishna Srinivasan

Krishna is a Partner at Austin Venture. Prior to joining Austin Ventures, Krishna was with McKinsey & Company where he worked on growth strategies for companies in the technology sector. Earlier, he was with Motorola’s Corporate Offices where he played an active role in strategic and operational improvement projects with new business ventures and specifically with the Semiconductor Products Sector. Krishna began his career in Austin at International Sematech. Krishna has worked with companies such as Augmentix, Black Sand, ClearCube, ColdWatt, Mavenir Systems, MEMX, Nanocoolers, NetBotz (acquired by APC), Netrake (acquired by Audiocodes), Pyxis, Spatial Wireless (acquired by Alcatel) and Zilliant.

Krishna received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with highest academic honors as a Palmer Scholar. He also has a Masters in Operations Research from the University of Texas at Austin and an undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where he received the highest award that year for all-round accomplishment. Krishna previously served as a board member of TiE Austin and is currently on the board of the Miracle Foundation, an Austin-based organization that supports orphanages in India.



Rahm Shastry

Rahm comes to Nascentric with an established executive-level track record at several startups as well as leading EDA companies. Prior to joining Nascentric, Rahm served as the president & CEO of Santa Clara, CA based Tharas Systems, a hardware-assisted verification company which was acquired by EVE, Inc in 2006. At Cadence Design Systems he held marketing positions of increasing responsibility, rising to the position of Group Director for Logic Design & Verification. At Viewlogic Systems, he held various technical marketing, applications and sales positions. He was a co-founder and CEO of TriQuest Design Automation, a behavioral synthesis startup.

Rahm has an extensive background in VLSI and computer systems design and verification. He started his career as an IC designer and hardware designer. He holds a MSEE from State University of New York, Stony Brook and a B.Tech in Electronics & Communications from National Institute of Technology, Karnataka (India).



Dr. John Croix

Founder and CTO of Nascentric. Prior to Nascentric, Dr. Croix was CTO and co-founder of Silicon Metrics Corporation and was the original architect of their standard cell characterization product. Dr. Croix has more than twenty years of experience designing advanced CAD tools and is a specialist in cell timing and modeling. Prior to Silicon Metrics, Dr. Croix worked for AMD where he was responsible for early timing estimation and cell characterization used for the K7 microprocessor design. Prior to AMD he was a member of the IBM PowerPC design, where he developed characterization tools and routing applications. He also spent nine years developing CAD tools for Texas Instruments in their Design Automation Division and their ASIC division.

Dr. Croix holds 15 patents and patent applications in the area of IC timing analysis. Dr. Croix received his Ph.D. from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department of The University of Texas in Austin in 2002 for his work in cell and interconnect timing analysis.
